(Fort Wayne, Ind).—Three Do it Best Corp. member-owners and a vendor were honored at the 11th Annual INCOM Distributor Supply^SM Awards Dinner at the Indianapolis Zoo’s Dolphin Gallery in conjunction with the 2007 Do it Best May Market^SM.

InCom® assists member owners with all aspects of supplying maintenance, repair, and operational (MRO) items needed by businesses and industry by offering a wide range of marketing tools, a B2B e-commerce solution and sales support. INCOM Distributor Supply offers its distributor members sourcing assistance, bid/quote assistance, and training to help them grow their businesses and make them more profitable.

The awards dinner is an annual event that honors members, vendors, and InCom staff for their contributions throughout the year. This year, four awards were presented. The Distributor of the Year and Rookie Distributor of the Year awards were determined by the level of purchases that participating members made through the INCOM Distributor Supply program as well as utilization of program marketing tools. The e-commerce Member of the Year award was given to the member who actively pursues e-business and promotes the InCom web site with their customer base. The Vendor of the Year award was given to the vendor that provided the most outstanding member support and provided the programs needed to compete in the industrial market.

Rookie Distributor of the Year:

American Plumbing and Electrical has been in business for nearly forty years, but they are new to InCom, having joined less than two years ago. They have taken advantage of the marketing tools, technology and vendor programs InCom offers and have experienced tremendous growth as a result.  

E-commerce Member of the Year:
March Industries
Elgin, IL

March Industries has implemented an e-commerce web site utilizing technology InCom brings to their business and has seen growth of 25% in overall sales as a result. They joined InCom just five years ago and have taken advantage of all the tools available in order to increase the amount of product they see to existing customers and go after new business.

Distributor of the Year:

Jackson, TN

HCI Supply has been an InCom member since 2002, and they continue to utilize InCom marketing tools and vendor programs to stay competitive and profitable. They’ve embraced new technology and have been fully supportive of the buying co-op for years.

Vendor of the Year:
AO Safety
Indianapolis, IN

AO Safety offers the InCom member-owners the commercial/industrial program they need, along with support in implementing the program. AO Safety provides a range of safety equipment from goggles to protective eyewear and hard hats and more.
