Fort Wayne, Ind.—Do it Best Corp. recently presented its Vendor of the Year awards at the co-op’s Member Purchase Awards & Vendor Recognition Breakfast at the 2007 Do it Best October MarketSM in Indianapolis, IN.
Steve Markley, Do it Best Corp. vice president of merchandising, described the Vendor of the Year awards as a way of recognizing and thanking companies who were most successful in supporting the co-op’s goal of helping members grow. “We enjoy strong overall support from our vendors. To be recognized as a Do it Best Corp. Vendor of the Year is a true honor because the competition is fierce. These vendors share our desire to help our member-owners stay profitable and are committed to providing products and services that help our members build and maintain a unique, quality reputation and set them apart from their competition.”
Do it Best Corp. presented overall awards for outstanding products and services, annual sales growth, and for collaborative forecasting and replenishment. In addition, 22 departmental category awards were presented. The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company was selected as the Outstanding Products & Services Vendor of the Year, and GE Lighting received the Overall Sales Growth Vendor of the Year Award. The Sherwin-Williams Company received the Collaborative Forecasting and Replenishment Award.
