Through the development of flexible customizable programs, the marketing department helps our members improve their stores' performance by increasing traffic, increasing transaction values, and building their local brands. The marketing department promotes more than 100 programs through four focus areas: advertising, store development, retail programs and communications and educational services. In addition, the marketing department is responsible for our international division. Advertising is responsible for the design, production, and distribution of a broad selection of promotional branding materials through its highly customizable ADpak program. Included are dozens of customizable print, radio, and TV advertising options. Our doitbest.com e-commerce program can be used to support and expand a store's presence by providing its customers with 24-hour shopping, ship-to-store delivery options, how-to tips and lots of store-specific information. The store development department provides a turnkey approach to support a member who wishes to build or remodel an existing store. From local market analysis to customer research, from comprehensive Do it Best© or Do it center© branded store designs to those which have been fully customized for the member, and from floor plans to fully merchandised stores—store development has all the resources to assure a successful selling environment. Retail programs provide members with the tools they need to compete and win in this highly competitive marketplace. Optional programs include gift cards, music on hold, customer loyalty programs, Do it Best Radio, financial services, cause branding tools, and many more. Our communications and educational services department is responsible for all trade advertising, press releases, and media relations for Do it Best Corp. In addition, this group also produces our annual report, the bi-weekly Profit Lines™ newsletter, plus the monthly Do it Best Training Break™ video and Do it Best promotional materials using our own in-house studio. Training of all store employees is critical, and several opportunities are made available to our members. These include our College of Retail Education (CORE®), our Retail Management Training classes, seminars at all of our buying markets, and additional special seminars throughout the year. A number of niche programs have been developed to help our members expand their market share. These very successful programs include turnkey rental programs, customizable commercial/industrial programs, Do it Best Paint Solutions™, and many others. Marketing is also responsible for our international department. Our international department builds on the strength of our domestic programs and brings access to new products, increased buying power and retail expertise to the rest of the world.
