     What is the difference between Do it Best Corp. and the other hardware co-ops?

    At Do it Best Corp., we remain dedicated to offering the products and services that will help your business grow.  While other co-ops put strict requirements on participation in programs, advertising, and design plans—Do it Best Corp. does not.  Do it Best Corp. offers all of these services, but makes them customizable to the needs of our members.  It is our belief that we have to make our programs attractive enough for members to use them, rather than forcing stores to use programs that don’t make sense for their operation.



    How long has Do it Best Corp. provided co-op purchasing services?

    Does Do it Best Corp. carry long term debt?

    We are very proud of the fact that Do it Best Corp. carries no long term debt.  We will not gamble with the investment that our members have made in building our cooperative.



    What programs and services does Do it Best Corp. offer?

    Do it Best Corp. offers a variety of programs and services on an ala carte basis.  We want you to utilize the programs and services that best fit for your business needs.  For a list and description of those programs, click here.



    How will you make the conversion to Do it Best Corp. a smooth, easy process?

    When you join the Do it Best Corp. family, we will develop an action plan detailing every stop in the process.  Every store—and every conversion—is different, so we tailor the action plan to your specific needs.  Depending on the complexity of the conversion, we can have you fully functioning as a Do it Best Corp. member in 90 days or less. 
    Consistent, clear communication is the backbone of our conversion process.  Do it Best Corp. will help ensure everyone at your store, from sales associates to top management, works together as a team to implement the various steps of your conversion plan.  We will also help you communicate with your suppliers and your customers to let them know you are converting to Do it Best Corp.



    What kind of training will Do it Best Corp. provide to help me get started?

    At Do it Best Corp., we value education.  When you join us, you will receive the orientation and training you need to make the most of your membership.  At our comprehensive five-day training program, CORE® (College of Retail Education), we will provide information on all the programs and services available to you as a Do it Best Corp. member. We also conduct in-store training to help your staff receive orders and read statements correctly.



    Who do I contact to get started?

    Upon completion of the Prospective Member Questionnaire, a regionally-based retail development specialist will contact you directly.  Once it has been mutually decided that Do it Best Corp. is the right co-op for you, an application for membership will be completed and the process will begin.
