October 17, 2017, FORT WAYNE, INDIANA – With thousands of great purchasing opportunities, a spotlight on trending product categories, the introduction of new growth-oriented programs, and numerous networking events, Do it Best Corp. welcomed thousands of its member-owners and vendors to its fall market, held October 13-16 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

With the theme Driven to be the Best, this fall market was designed to help Do it Best members, as well as the many prospective members in attendance, discover what it means to have a co-op partner driven to provide the best products, programs, and services to help them grow and achieve their dreams.

“We were excited to celebrate another successful year for Do it Best members,” said Dan Starr, President and CEO of Do it Best Corp. “At the same time, we are eager to build on our momentum. As the speed of change continues to intensify in our industry, our team is embracing it more quickly than ever so we can continue to provide our members more strategic growth opportunities in the years ahead.”

Do it Best Corp. highlighted several such growth opportunities on the market floor, including a dedicated Connected Home interactive display. As the use of high-tech gadgets to make homes smarter continues to expand, this sizable display featured four dedicated living spaces, all utilizing connected home products run by a voice interface.

The co-op also debuted its Merchandising Essentials program, which provides scalable and customizable options for Do it Best members to help differentiate their locations and build the ideal product mix for their customers with a wide variety of planograms offering complete and competitive product options, all with substantial incentives.

In addition, Do it Best Corp. showcased an enhanced LBM experience on the market floor, shifting it to a prime spot and more closely integrating it with its Builders Hardware, Power Tools, and Home Décor departments. In addition to the Friday Night Sneak Peek product specials, LBM members had all day Saturday to discover the Super Saturday Specials from lumber and building material vendors.

The co-op also built on its popular debut of The Color Bar from its spring market, once again featuring the new and re-envisioned in-store experience for members’ paint department with a strong focus on color and product selection and supported by a range of scalable configurations.

Members explored new tools to develop their marketing game plan for 2018. With a focus on winning the weeks that matter in the ways that matter, the Do it Best consumer marketing team was ready to demonstrate how a loyalty tool like Best RewardsSM, along with the debut of the new online Digital Dashboard, could grow members’ market share of retail sales.

The market also featured several popular networking receptions. The LBM Reception, Regional Mixers, and Shareholders’ Reception were all created for members to connect, share best practices, and discuss growth opportunities in the year ahead.
