November 4, 2016, FORT WAYNE, INDIANA – Do it Best Corp. announced today the selection of Nick Talarico as the co-op’s new Vice President of Sales and Business Development, effective November 14.

In this position, Talarico will lead a team of professional sales consultants committed to helping the co-op’s member-owners grow their businesses while attracting new members to Do it Best Corp. He’ll oversee the Retail Performance and field sales teams in addition to member services, INCOM Distributor Supply, and the International department.

Talarico’s introduction to Do it Best Corp. began in his role as outside auditor with Crowe Horwath LLP, where he consulted regularly on the co-op’s business processes and recommended best practices to enhance operations. He joined Do it Best Corp. in 2009 as the Manager of Internal Audit. Over the next five years, Talarico gained valuable insights and experience working and consulting with the board of directors, member-owners, the executive leadership team, and across all divisions to enhance the co-op’s processes and practices. In 2014, he was promoted to Divisional Manager in Merchandising. In this leadership role, he demonstrated a keen understanding of the sales cycle to provide the right merchandise mix to members and then help them sell those products profitably.

Talarico replaces Jay Brown, who retires on December 31 after serving as VP of Sales and Business Development for the past nine years.

Overall, Talarico has more than 15 years of experience in sales, consulting and supply chain management. He earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife Beth have three sons, Harrison, Pierceton and Theodore.
