May 5, 2017, Fort Wayne, Indiana — Do it Best Corp. is strengthening its merchandising excellence with the addition of Tom Andrews as a divisional merchandise manager, effective immediately.
As divisional merchandise manager, Andrews will oversee the hand tools, plumbing, cleaning, housewares, and INCOM departments within Merchandising.
“Tom’s addition enables our entire merchandising team to build on his diverse and extensive retail experience,” said Steve Markley, vice president of merchandising. “We are very excited to welcome him to our team as he leads these growing merchandising departments.”
Andrews brings 30 years of experience with several national retailers to his new role at Do it Best Corp., all built around merchandise, assortment planning, demand planning, and project management, while leading a variety of teams. He most recently served as a project manager overseeing new merchandise lines for Fort Wayne-based Vera Bradley, with additional experience at Sports Authority, Best Buy, Payless Shoes, The Limited, and Lane Bryant. He earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Ohio State University.
